Question : Insomnia after exercise a

In Details : I suffer from insomnia after performing upper body exercise. Whenever I lift something heavy or do some exercise such as push ups, I have an almost sleepless night. The situation is back to normal after I stop doing any exercise. I developed this issue as I was lifting weights a year ago. I stopped going to the gym as a result.

It Seems that you are becoming fatigued by doing weights and rigorous exercises. Your muscles are becoming tense and are not being able to relax at night and hence the sleepless nights. We would recommend that you start doing lighter exercises like walking, jogging and freehand coupled with Yoga and meditation. This would improve your body functionalities and would also help you relax.
